Almond Milk

There are many almond milk recipes on the internet. Here’s mine! I have tried many commercially available almond milks and never liked any of them. They have a funky flavor! This almond milk tastes great and is very creamy and doesn’t separate in your coffee! Best of all, it is so simple and easy to make and takes just a few minutes.


Prep time 5 minutes

  • 1 cup raw almonds, organic preferably
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 dates
  • vanilla bean or 1 tsp. vanilla extract if desired

Start by soaking raw almonds for 6 hours or overnight. Peel off skins. They should remove easily. You can also buy peeled raw almonds. Drain and rinse almonds.

Place peeled almonds in high speed blender with 1 cup water and puree until smooth. Then add the dates and vanilla and puree until smooth.

Makes 5 cups of delicious almond milk. Keeps in refrigerator for up to 5 days if it lasts that long!
